When a vehicle’s engine starts to fail, a full overhaul can breathe new life into it. This recent project showcases how we diagnosed, disassembled, and completely restored a high-mileage engine to peak performance — saving the customer thousands on a full replacement.
The Challenge
The customer reported engine noise, reduced fuel economy, and frequent overheating. After performing a full diagnostic and compression test, we discovered worn piston rings, sludge buildup, and a damaged crankshaft bearing.
What We Did
- Full engine disassembly
- Cleaned and machined cylinder heads
- Replaced pistons, rings, gaskets, bearings, and seals
- Inspected timing chain, camshaft, and valve train
- Pressure tested components
